Information

A materiality analysis determines which sustainability aspects the organisation should prioritise. The analysis is based on two parts; stakeholder dialogues and impact analysis. The result of the materiality analysis will lay the foundation for an organisation’s sustainability work moving forward. It is also a requirement to conduct the analysis for an organisation that chooses to report in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards.

The UN Sustainable Development Goals set the direction for countries, companies, organisations and private individuals to work towards sustainable development until 2030. In addition to imposing demands on companies to contribute to achieving the goals, the goals create significant business opportunities for companies such as new investment opportunities, identifying new products and reaching new customer segments.

A management system is a tool for controlling and managing the business in the desired direction within a certain area. It is a tool to ensure that the business is conducted in accordance with established guidelines and makes it possible to plan, manage, monitor, control, evaluate and improve the quality of the business. Examples of management systems are: ISO14001 (environment), ISO45001 (work environment), ISO 37001 (anti-corruption) and ISO26000 (social responsibility).

Strategic and efficient sustainability work balances the needs of stakeholders and minimises risks and costs while attracting talent, strengthening the brand and creating new business opportunities. To meet the increased demands of customers, investors, partners, and legislation, an overall strategy of sustainable business development is required.
