Why should you attend the training?

  • Effective supply chain management leads to minimized risks, reduced costs and increased profitability

  • Many goods and services purchased during public procurement in Sweden are produced in countries where there is a big risk that fundamental human and labor rights are not respected

  • Ethos International’s process for supply chain evaluation is resource efficient, cost-effective and simple to apply to your company’s supply chain management

About the training

The training gives an understanding of how sustainability requirements in the procurement form part of the public authorities’ strategic purchasing work and provides a detailed picture of the various parts and regulations of the procurement process. Based on the new law on public procurement (LOU), we go step by step through the process of how you in practice put comprehensive social and environmental sustainability requirements on your suppliers and follow up on the requirements in a cost-effective manner.

The training includes the sustainability considerations and control of suppliers according to the new LOU. Amongst other things, the training touches on the possibility for setting environmental and social requirements for supplier qualification, which evidence that can be required from suppliers and under what circumstances a supplier can be excluded.

You will learn about Supplier Code of Conducts, risk analysis, follow-up questionnaires, site visits and third-party audits as well as supplier development. The training has an international perspective and derives from the most common risks in the supply chain from a geographical and industry perspective. We discuss all four sustainability areas; human rights, labor rights, environmental issues and anti-corruption. During the training you will get to take advantage of real-life cases from the course leaders’ own experiences of working with sustainable supply chains around the world.

Note: Do you work in the private sector and are interested in developing sustainable supply chain? See our training Sustainable supply chain.
